A Solar + 4G camera is a standalone security camera: a solar panel charges the battery during the day, and a SIM card (4G) provides the internet connection. That lets the camera work on a construction site, a farm, a parking lot or at a gate — wherever there is no electricity or internet cable yet.
How reliable it is depends on the site: sun exposure, shade, the season and mobile signal strength. So we assess the site before installation and choose a model that suits your grounds. For a rough idea of recording needs, you can use our CCTV calculator.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work in winter or on cloudy days?
The battery powers the camera at night and on cloudy days, but how long it lasts depends on battery capacity, sun exposure and the season. That's why we assess the site first — panel direction, shade and recording mode.
What internet does it need — any operator's SIM card?
It needs a 4G SIM card with a data plan. What matters most is that the operator has enough signal at the site — we check this before installation.
Where are recordings stored?
Solar + 4G cameras usually store recordings on an SD card or in the cloud — depending on the model. A separate recorder is generally not needed.
How much mobile data does it use?
It depends on how often you watch live video, whether video is recorded to the cloud, and the camera resolution. Recording on motion and notifications reduce data use — we'll help you choose the right plan.
Can the camera be stolen?
The risk is reduced by the right height, a sturdy mount and a position that is hard to reach. We plan placement after visiting the site.
