IP telephony — an office phone system over the internet

Short internal numbers, one main company number and smart call routing — without analog lines. We design the system, set it up and support it.

  • Internal numbers
  • IVR and call queues
  • Softphones

IP telephony is an office phone system that works over the internet instead of analog lines: employees get short internal numbers, the company has one main number, and a voice menu and queues send each call to the right person. The system can run on your own server (an open-source PBX) or in a provider’s cloud — outside calls need a SIP account from an operator.

Voice quality depends on the network, so we plan telephony together with our networking service — bandwidth, QoS and PoE on the switches. Call data can also be connected to other systems, such as a CRM or Telegram — we handle that in our automation service, depending on what the system supports.

Where IP telephony fits

  • VoIP desk phone or softphone — your choice
  • One number in the office and at home

On your server or in the cloud

The system runs wherever suits you best.

  • Open-source PBX on your own server (Docker)
  • Or a cloud PBX from a provider

Frequently asked questions

Can employees have short internal numbers?

Yes. We plan the internal numbering with you — for example three-digit numbers by department. Internal calls stay inside the system and don't use an outside line.

Can we keep our existing number?

That depends on the operator. Together with your provider we check whether your existing number can be moved to IP telephony, and on what terms.

What happens to calls if the internet goes down?

IP telephony depends on the internet, so we plan fallbacks in advance — a backup internet connection, a UPS for the phone equipment, and forwarding calls to a mobile (depending on what the operator supports).

Do we need to buy phones, or is a softphone enough?

Both work. A VoIP desk phone is often convenient at a reception or till, while office staff are usually happy with a softphone on a computer or phone. We decide together.

Can calls be recorded, and are there reports?

Yes — recording, call history and reports are part of the system. Callers must be informed when recording; recordings can be stored on your own server.

Does the network have to change?

Often the existing network is enough. Before installation we check internet bandwidth, the network configuration and PoE on the switches, and strengthen the network if needed.
