What is an Ajax alarm and how does it work?
Ajax is a wireless alarm system. Detectors (motion, door opening and others) connect by radio to a central unit (the Hub), which connects to your phone over the internet. When the alarm is triggered, the siren sounds and you get a notification in the app.
Do I need cables run through the building?
Ajax wireless detectors run on batteries, so there's no need to cut into walls or run cables. The central unit needs power and an internet connection.
Can I control the alarm from my phone?
Yes. In the Ajax app you can arm and disarm the system, receive notifications and view the event history.
Access control — card, PIN code or fingerprint?
It depends on the property and the number of people. For an office a card or key fob is often enough; where tighter control is needed, a fingerprint or face recognition reader. We'll recommend the best option after a site survey.
Can the alarm and access control work together with cameras?
